The Josh Russell Ski Racing Scholarship Fund
289 Maple Street
Contoocook, NH  03229

Dear Mr. Russell:

Please accept this letter of thanks for the scholarship you awarded me for
the 2007-2008 ski racing year.  This award has helped tremendously by
giving me the opportunity to pursue a championship race I was invited to
in Maine.

The Josh Russell Si Racing Scholarship afforded me the opportunity to
attend the JII Eastern Championships held at Sunday River in Bethel, ME.
This event was for the top racers in the East and I finished 5th in the
Slalom and 7th in the Super G.  It was an exciting event and I sincerely
thank you for awarding me the funds to make this happen.

I love ski racing and the Josh Russell scholarship has contributed to my
success during the 2007-2008 season.  Please send my thanks to the
scholarship committee, and I have enclosed a recent picture for use on the
scholarship website.

Sincerely,

Geoffrey Bonewald

The Fifth Annual Josh Russell Memorial Fishing Derby

was an ENORMOUS SUCCESS this year!

The JRSRSF would like to give a special thanks to the incredible efforts of The 521 Club and all of it's volunteers. We had a record turn-out of fishing participants, hundreds of door prizes given throughout the day, delicious food, lots of sunshine and tons of fun! Please join us next year on the last Saturday of February.

Josh Russell Ski Racing Scholarship Fund

The Josh Russell Ski Racing Scholarship Fund was established in January of 2004 as a tribute to a man who loved ski racing and other outdoor sports. While Josh attended Hopkinton High School , he participated in every aspect of ski racing: cross-country, ski jumping and downhill. He was the team captain of the cross-country ski team during his senior year of school-a team that won the championship that year. He competed and made it to the Junior Olympic level of racing in both the ski jumping and downhill skiing categories. He picked up racing again after college at the local ski area, Pat's Peak. He was a serious contender in the Corporate League once a week as a team member of the Ken Jones Ski Mart team.

This fund is designed to help New Hampshire 's up-and-coming ski racers by supplementing their funding for equipment and other race-related expenses.

Thank you to all of our current and future sponsors and donors!
